Merry Christmas!!

Ni Hao, Kai-lan

I have so much work to finish and what I do? I drew Kai-lan....
Recently, I have been watching the show alot. I think Ni Hao, Kai-lan is a very well done animation show for children. I am actually learning chinese from it, a word at a time. And all the characters design are so cute, come on, you got to love a little monkey that play the turn table! to learn more about the show go to : http://www.nickjr.com/ni-hao-kai-lan/

I actually take the Kai-lan drawing apart and make a how to draw Kai-lan page. To see the page go to :

There are also other drawing instruction I did. Now I have to go back to my work...

Cuba Drawing

I went to Cuba During Christmas. It was a nice trip, alot of doing nothing under the sun, which is good for me :) The drawing is what I drew by the pool, it was soooo hot, my hand was actually sweating from drawing!

Drawing from Ireland

The is just couple pages from my sketchbook, I drew it in the hotel patio in Ireland . It had a nice view, as you can see. Sometime I wish i have have time to just sit around and sketch.

New Pstob VS Goding94 !

This is again, Pstob vs Goding94! I thought it will be fun to re-draw my student's drawing, but in my own way :) I didn't spend alot of time drawing it, its just a quick sketch with marker. They are fun character and maybe i will do more of this in the future.

Goldfish

I drew this a while ago, it was digitally painted in photoshop. It was just a quick drawing practice. I think i need to do more drawing exercise like this :)

黃記

I drew this. Of course not recently, I drew it when I was 6 or 7, I think. It is always funny looking back at your own drawing. At least I got the prospective of the table right. haha
I remember there was a market right where used to live, and everyday coming back from school, I have to walk thru it. That's probably what I was thinking when I drew the picture.

just a sketch

I took the idea of one my "secret" drawing and redo it abit. I was just testing some digital inking. Maybe i will put it on the same background and see how it look. I think the old chinese guy is much more creepier than this.

Dominican Republic drawing

I was cleaning up my room and find a sketchbook from a couple years back. I usually bring my sketchbook along while I travel. I don't think I post this here before. Its a drawing I did while I vocation in Dominican Republic couple year ago. I was a nice place, I basically did almost nothing but laid around the pool and beach and get drunk. lol. This drawing is done while I am just laying around the pool, drinking my pina colada. :) Its done with a ball pen and took me about half an hour.

YMCA coloured

Here it is, i finish this a while ago. Its was a quick colouring in photoshop, the background is also done in photoshop. I like how the colour go, but over all, I wish I have more time to work on it.

YMCA!

Recently, I have been working on a illustration for YMCA. It was aim at more to the teen and the kids cause its about volunteeing at the Y. The blue one is the pencil rough i drew, I then go over it with a 2b pencil to give it a rough dark outline. I didnt use marker cause I want to keep it kind of lose. Then I will scan it in and colour it with photoshop. I will post the colour one tomorrow, since its not all done yet.

A sketch

Just a quick sketch I did with pencil and photoshop colour,a while ago. I need to do more exercise like this more often.

Here's some expression I randomly draw for the character. Some expression look better then the other, and some are just not really on model. Its just one of the step of creating a character, putting them in different emotions and see how they look.

This is a character design I did with Dawn. Its for her animation portfolio. I like the character, he has a very cartoonly feel to him. Its also nice to work with someone while designing. I also did some more poses and expression of him, it will post them later also.

Ink Sketch

Just a quick sketch I did using ink with a chinese brush. I miss doing chinese painting, maybe I will pick it up again when I retired. :) Its just something you can do when you have alot of time and nothing on you mind.

Happy Valentine's Day!!

Yup, its one of my 10 dinners drawing, add a line and it become my Valentine card! Hope everyone have a nice Valentine's Day
